• U.N Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will be visiting Lebanon, among other countries in the region mid-March. A main focus will be UNIFIL role and implementation of resolution 1701.
  
  

• A survey of U.N. Conference Services is expected to go online seeking views of delegations until 23 December. It is conducted by the U.N. Department of General Assembly and Conference Management which, it said in a circulated note, aimed to satisfy.
  
  

• The President of the current General Assembly (66th Session) will have very few meetings to chair by January, and most likely will seek solace in varied international travel.
