• A meeting between the Secretary General and his Special Representatives and Envoys will be an occasion for him to visually note their growing number; the results of their efforts will perhaps remain unchecked.
  
  

• Over 1700 displaced families in Haiti will be receiving so called "return kits" after a hurricane had hit the island; whether such kits will actually induce them to return remains in doubt.
  
  

• World Television Day is scheduled for 21 November. It was initiated by the U.N. Department of Public Information in 1997.
