  • A summit for Arab heads of state is scheduled in Doha, Qatar by end March. It was preceded by a mini-smmit of conciliation between leaders of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Syria, with Kuwait as a helpful broker.

  • The U.N. Working Group on Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances will meet in Geneva to review 326 newly submitted cases, together with other cases already recorded in 32 countries. The group of 5 experts was created by the U.N. Commission on Human Rights.

  • The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in Rome will be issuing a report on jobs that would be created in a "green" world. Fictitious "10 million jobs" will be promised; plus a pie in the sky.
