• The newly-selected senior management team is expected to be announced by the new Secretary General by end February.
  

• The post of Executive Secretary of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok is expected to become vacant within a few months. Applicants are already jockeying for position.

• A new president of the Economic and Social Council, the Ambassador of Lithuania, took over from Tunisia and is expected to present his own program of work.
