• Arrangements for the approved regular budget are expected to continue despite a political agreement to approve expenditures until June.

• Davos, the venue of an annual international gathering of key influential personalities and groupies of "wannabees" will be held by end January.

• It was agreed that the Presidency of the next General Assembly starting September will be in the hands of Bahrain, which is likely to recommend a woman for that highly visible task.
