• Heads of state and governments will be arriving in New York for the General Debate. Electronic road signs around Manhattan already warn of "traffic delays"

• A new chief of Protocol and new Deputy Security chief will be facing a complicated test during new circumstances relating to a number of high level events on Climate, Security Council, Migration and other pressing issues

Member states, like Egypt, hoping to get elected to non-permanent seats of the Security Council, will be making special efforts to ensure that all goes well during the actual Assembly elections, most likely next month
